Determined to use my experience to be a strong voice for our community at City Hall
Mike was first the Niagara politician to promote a coordinated Teen Mental Health awareness plan for the Niagara Region with his motion to council on June 14, 2016. (a proactive move after the unprecedented # of teen suicides in Woodstock, Ont that summer)
Mike was in support of the decision to invest in the infrastructure upgrade to Oakes Park.
Mike and the whole of City Council agreed to pay down our Municipal debt by $15,000,000 this past term.
Mike was a strong advocate for the Niagara Region’s successful bid to host the 2021 Canada Summer Games.
Mike’s support of year round GO service to Niagara Falls is based on his belief that it would increase the potential for a post secondary campus downtown, which in turn would attract the kind of investment to finally make downtown revitalization a reality.
